It's time to plan the Loop Line Halloween Train '08
Okay, I admit it's a complete rip off of a Halloween celebration in Japan. But the more I think about it, why not in Beijing, too?
Basically, it's become a tradition in Tokyo for dressed-up gaijin to throw a party on the Yamanote line. They put on their best costumes, bring along a good selection of booze, and celebrate by partying on the subway.
Of course, not everyone is happy about this, least of all the commuters heading home at the end of the day. But surely this could inject some life into Beijing's staid subway (not to mention Halloween) culture?

Haha. I love the idea. But could you imagine some poor farmer from Gansu who has never been to the 'big city' before coming in on Hallowe'en, Mickey Mouse duffle filled with all his worldly possessions, jumping on the train to find this!
Wait... in retrospect, that could make it even more fun!
