Announcement #2: Chris Chaplin joins Zhongnanhai

I'm pleased today to welcome a long-time friend and news junkie to the fold at Zhongnanhai. I first met Chris Chaplin back in our days at CRI, and also worked with him briefly at China Central Television. Chris has a keen eye for news, and in fact has sent me articles that have been the inspiration for many posts here. In addition to his interest in news, he is a regular and keen reader of any and all blogs covering what's happening in China.

He married a Chinese woman late last year, and speaks remarkably good Chinese, meaning he is also capable of providing translations from Chinese media. His articles can be found in a number of publications, most notably That's China. Like the rest of us in the blogging world, he works full-time, so we hope he can provide as much material as possible around his busy schedule.

This follows on the heels of the first announcement, meaning we have one more remaing (and believe me, it's the biggest). Stay tuned...

Welcome on board, Mr. Chaplin. I hope you'll come to enjoy all the movable type spam notifications in your email inbox, along with Cam whining when you don't get a post on the blog for a couple of days :)

Glad to have you on our side, my sinister drinking companion!!!
